This Is Home

A lot has happened in the last month and a half.

I went to Saskatoon and had a blast. I met and got my photo with the illustrious, Doug Jones at Fanexpo. I had an even bigger blast a few weeks ago in Toronto on a trip to see Gorillaz at the Scotiabank Arena. Both trips provided fab visits with friends and family. Great food and sights. And a much needed pick me up. More details could be shared, but another time.

Right now I’ve been struggling. Upon returning from Toronto symptoms led to scans. Scans showed cancer in my brain in two spots. It’s all been overwhelming. I’ve been quite sick. I’m waiting for my treatment plan, which will consist of radiation of some type. After almost a week in the hospital, I’m home with a heavy meds schedule and doing my best. Thankful as always for my folks and their caring ways.

Minus a mid-day Ativan, I had the energy to compose this photo essay of my bedroom.

My needful things. My comforts. My visual soothers.
